At the Flying Lady we only provide the best quality boats available. We work hard to keep our boats clean and up-to-date on all maintenance so your trip will be perfect.
THE ORIGINAL FLYING LADY -
JUPITER
The Flying Lady is a 27′ Abel Marine that was pressed into service for Florida Boat Tours in Jupiter. Built in 1977 in Southwest Harbor, Maine, the Flying Lady is over 40 years old. Undoubtedly, Abel has produced some of the most beautiful vessels ever built.
Unlike the competition, Abel Marine had a reputation for building the highest quality boat available. Meanwhile, the thing about Southwest Harbor is that workers from the area tend to migrate between well respected boat building companies such as Lyman Morse, Hinckley, Ellis, etc.
Consequently, it’s no secret that Abel Marine had no shortage of high quality craftsmen available to build their beautiful boats.
From the beginning, the Flying Lady was a personal launch for a local resident in Maine. Obviously due to her beauty, she stayed in the family for many years. Ultimately, the new owners purchased her in 1990 and moved to the shores of Lake Champlain.
Eventually in April of 2018, we moved The Flying Lady to Florida to begin her 7 month restoration. Presently, we’ve brought her up todays standards for your cruising pleasure.
THE FLYING LADY PONTOON -
WEST PALM BEACH
At our West Palm Beach location you will find our amazing pontoon boat. This is a 27′ pontoon that will provide an amazing day in the comfort of 2 huge biminis to block the sun if you wish, a bar, grill and amazing speaker system you can bluetooth into to enjoy the music of your choosing. This is the perfect boat for our narrated tour or to spend the day at Peanut Island.
THE FLYING LADY MAKO -
BOTH LOCATIONS
You will find the Flying Lady Mako at either location. She is a 2005 Mako Center console that offers seating for up to 10. She is comfortable with plenty of shade and get really get up and go when necessary to get to all the great spots we love to show off around our area. While not usually in the lineup fulltime, she serves as a stand in when we pull our other boats for maintenance of for overflow trips.
GETTING ON AND OFF OUR BOATS
At both locations we can provide entry to our boats from a floating dock at the same level as the boat. There is a sturdy handle to steady yourself as you get on an off the boats. Our captains will be ready to assist your group wether they be elderly or special needs, our captains are ready, willing and able to assist your group into our boat until they are seated comfortably.
